Welcome to Machado Elementary, where our students SOAR toward college, successful careers, and lives! We are proud of our students, staff, and community.  We embrace every opportunity to welcome our parents and community to Machado to partner with our talented staff and amazing students to build a better future for our students, their families, and our community! We currently have approximately 650 students enrolled, Transitional-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. We alsooffer specialized classes for Pre-School, Kindergarten,Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade. After school support is offered through our Think Together Program.

 

We invite you learn more about our AVID program to prepare our students toward for the rigor of middle school, high school, college, and careers.  We also invite you to partner with us to strengthen our students' social and interactive skills with our Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) system and 16 Positive Social Skills. This is a system for high expectations in social (and academic) behavior. It provides students with the skills they need to positively interact with others in a variety of settings: home, school, community, etc.  The goal at Machado is to prepare our students intellectually, socially, and emotionally for a successful future. 

 

At Machado Elementary School, we recognize and appreciate the importance of a strong partnership between home and school.  We offer many opportunities for parents and families to be involved: PTA, ELAC, School Site Council, Family Nights, Pastries with the Principal and Dean, Parent University, Volunteer Program, ESL classes, Meet the Masters, Norma's Nest and more!  We look forward to working with you to help our wonderful Machado Eagle Scholars experience success here at Machado, but also prepare for them for their future!
